My dash is so dim

It started today when I got off work, I turned my car on and then the dash is so dim. It used to be bright and I know I didn't adjust the lighting. I tried adjusting it back and forth but it is still dim.

I have the same issue. Anyone know what's happening here? I have a fairly new battery and no system.

I made an observation about the dash lights being dim. I ordered an LED light kit for my gauges. When I was taking the factory lights out I noticed that the bulbs had a dark almost burnt coating to them. Since I live near a dealership I went to compare what I just pulled out to a new bulb. NIGHT AND DAY difference! It's rediculous! This may explain why so many people have complained about their gauge cluster being dim. The parts guy said that this was a common problem. It's a cheap bulb so he let me have it...so I took a pic so you can all see.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. I did a search and couldn't find much of an answer...just people with this complaint. I hope this helps anyone with this problem.

I'm definetely interested in an LED light kit for my gauge cluster.

ProvidenceLeaf, where did you get your kit and how much?

Is there a DIY for replacing these lights?

Here you go...The DIY is in a few parts right on the companies website. It's a VERY good DIY. I had no problems. It won't take you very long!

If you mean the gauge cluster(I haven't attempted to do any buttons yet) then YES it is all lit. It is nice and bright. I just looked at their pics again and I don't know why it looks like that in their pics. Anyway, the gauges look good.

Do you have a part number for that lamp? Also, do you know the quantity needed for our cluster?
