My concerns

I am thinking about purchasing a 02 TL Type S black on black but it has 75k on it. Do you think the transmission is gonna last or I should think about another car?

There's no way anyone can answer this question. If you like the car, buy it. If you can't live with the 'tranny suspense', buy another vehicle....then worry about the problems that car might have.

Kia mama mia what is that garbage that you so called a car....Acura is what we say in my language as Aruca(means its #1) ...JK ^^ but Acura does stand for (A Comfortable Ultra Reliable Automobile) thats if you dont consider the transmission problem going around....

If you like the car Buy it. My opioin on cars is that if your lucky you'll get a good one. I know people eith brand new vehicles(Japanese) with problems. Its just your luck.

Thank

Thanks everybody for replying to me question. I'm reconsidering now on purchasing the TL. So now the warranty is extended to 100k. Is there any way I could get an extended warranty even longer?

No, however, some people have gotten the tranny replaced for free well past 100k miles. But that is not reliable.

I picked up a 2002 Black TL myself with almost 100K 2 mos ago. If you're buying from a dealer ask about an extended warranty which will cover you for another 10 - 20k.

I'm not purchasing the car at an Acura Dealership but a small car dealership. Can I buy the TL-S from that small car dealership and bring it to Acura and ask them if I could purchase an extended warranty on the car?

I got my TL through a small dealership as well. The warranty is through a third party called Coast to Coast.
