I got mine replaced at a local body shop. I think it was $168 for all 4, parts and labor.

If you're talking about the black plastic trim on the outside of the door that goes around the edge of the door frame, "bubbling" is a known problem and it will be covered under warranty (provided your car is still under warranty). Expect to leave your car for the day, or even overnight as it is a lengthy repair to perform (have to take the doorframe apart).

LOL...You don't have to take no door frame apart. I did this my self just pull the rubber piece in between the door and the black piece out. There should be 3 screws and one on the top tip then just try pulling it up and BAM it's out.

I think he is talking about the "B" pillars...
I have had all 4 of mine replaced AND the trim painted under warranty...
It looks like hell when they start to peel....

He's talking about the shiny trim on the outside of the door, in plain view for people to see the crappy look of cracking and fading paint. Acura will repaint it for you for free under warranty, they wanted me to leave it with them for like 3 or 4 days to do it, what a pain in the butt. I think they will do it after the warranty too, under the no rust or body failure for 100k miles, i'm a little hazy on it.

dealer told me it is covered under the warranty, but I'll have to bring the car back for a day as they have to take it to a body shop to repair.

Warranty lenght?

I think a picture says a thousand words. I just noticed this problem on my TL too. I was wondering if it was due to the folks at the car wash, but maybe the sun could have played a part in it. I bought my car in '02. Is this covered under the warranty for the standard 4 yr / 100k or am I going to have to fork out $$$ ??

I'm going to call the dealer to see if I can get this fixed. It's bugging the hell out of me.

they will just do it again if you replace them, im on my second set and they are bubbling and cracking again, some people recommend getting them painted or covering them in vinyl, but don't waste your money getting new ones that will do the same thing, invest for the long term with paint or vinyl.

It's cover under the warranty, but if it's over, like mine was, I took it off and had my friends body shop spray it for $50. It shouldn't cost more than $100 since all they do is take it off and spray them and let it dry and you put it back on.
