It is very straight forward. Unbolt the stock ones and bolt on the new one. It takes less than an hour to do both. (It took me 40 mins).

From my post here.
you need to remove:
* four plastic screws (use a flathead screw driver)
* 2 knobs used for cargo net
* 6 nuts on each light
* 1 screw from left taillight for some module or something
then you have to swap bulbs and/or harnesses and put everything back in.
All you need is a socket set, a phillips screw driver and a flathead screw driver. Takes an amatuer probably about 45 minutes MAX.
It's really easy, good luck!

Done in about an hour. A couple of install notes. The screws that mount the lights are very small; be careful with them. I lost one in a black hole (deep into the bumper somewhere). Tight squeeze for you to get your hands in the corners!
On the drivers side; there is a junction box. Remove this from the old light and install it back onto the new. A separate connector goes into this unit. I don't know what this unit does.
Be sure to mark where each bulb goes; it's easy to figure it out but you can use the old light for guidance.
No need to remove the existing bulbs and bulb connections form the lights; just disconnect the main connector (two on the drivers side and one on the passenger side).

My only tip to you is do NOT touch the bulbs with your hand..they are halogen and will burn on contact to the oils of your skin. Use a napkin or towel to hold the bulb.

BlackTL2K,
Looking schweeet bro!
I love black, it's my favorite.. next to Silver that is.
I know you have done it already, but for those who have not yet done it. I also agree with Jason, a socket wrench will make it soo much easier; and if you have a combo wrench, that will help to get the nuts loose if it is hard to get the socket wrench in.
But I think everyone covered just about all the gotchas.
