I'm guessing you painted your calipers . I want to, only thing is that I don't have anything to draw attention to with red paint. Maybe if I get cross drilled rotors...

Mine was in a spray can too. The only high temp paint that I've seen thats not in a can, can be bought at ACE hardware store...but thats for ovens/stoves.

Do a search on ebay for caliper paint. There's a guy there selling all kinds of it in different colors.

I've taken my wheels off again because I noticed alot of overspray that didnt get eaten up by the pads so I've gone ahead and touched up the rotors as well. Now The calipers are bright red against a non-rusty black rotor.

If you guys promise to buy me a new jack! lol Stupid piece o sh*t is 2 inches short! Never buy a 2 ton jack that only raises up 13 inches. Well...unless its on sale for $14 like I did. I know I know, I'm cheap but a 2.5 ton one that lifts 15 inches is $40 bucks...and I figure I could get plywood for less than $25. Oh, reason why I'm pissed is that you cant really return used tools.

where did you buy your jack, edgalang? 14 bucks? i guess it's kragen? you sure you can't return it? coz' my friend bought one (probably the one you mentioned) and he was able to return it no problem

but yeah, the 2 tons jacks are so much cheaper but they are never high enough, and the 2.5 or 3 tons jacks are lots more expensive.

back to topic, so that means 40 bucks to get mine painted, damn that's a lot

Cheap bast*rd! Didn't you read my topic? ~$50 project...and I did it all myself. Can't wait till the next meet. Hope the paint holds up. I used 500 degree for the calipers and 1200 for the rotors.

I know, I'm just not used to putting "j/k" right after my posts since I'm assuming you knew I was. Too bad there isnt an animated happy face of one chocking another...I'd use that one alot. heh heh. As for braking....well..the paint would get eaten away by the pads.....so not at all, the thing that you really want painted is the sides that looks rusted and the part that joins the rotor to the rim. So what you basically see is a black rotor with an exposed ring around it where the pads hit.
