Exclamation MUST READ!

Here is some info sent to me by Jason

He has a friend that works for the Sheriff's office hear in Florida, and he had to block of some roads so Acura could film a commercial for the new Acura TL type S (and new RL)
He said the TL-S was similar looking to the CL-S, as it had dashboard backing in white (must mean white gauges) and a sleeker looking front end. The turn signal
in the rear is clear instead of yellow(Inspire I'm sure)
They have also put wider,low-profile wheels.

Thats all I know. I replied with questions such as did it have foglights ect, will post here when I have more info

Just out of curiosity, did you friend say where they actually filmed the commercial? Us inquiring Floridians would like to know!

Wow, now it really seems certain that the TLS will be out soon.I assume that they will come out with an early introduction of the 2002 TL since the 2001 had so few changes. Did you guys read the other topic "2002 TL-S"? Do you think that they really will do some of the interior things that the poster mentions? Have a look at that topic too.

All this talk of a TL-S makes me think I should hold off on some of the mods I was going to do and just trade my car in for a TL-S in the spring.

Cool

I would trade my TL for the TL-S, fer sure!

Hope it has a wood steering wheel, memory seats, in-dash 6-cd player, and fog lights standard .

Oh, and I would trade the TL in with the OEM exhaust. Hopefully the Comptechs will fit the type-s!

I am also wondering why it would suck for CL-S owners. Its the exact same car, but with 2 more doors, and personally, I want 2 doors..cause it of my age, and i have no kids, or anything.

The only thing ACCORDING TO YOU GUYS the TL-S is gonna have is Xenon Fog Lights, which i higly doubt, you dont even need fog lights with xenon headlights, why would acura put Xenon foglights. Even the Type S doesnt have Foglights, those lights on the bottom are actually supposed to be daytime running lights.

I am still wondering why a TL-S model would suck for us CL-S models. If anything i would think the rumor about 6-speed CL-S's is worse for us CL-S owners, as well as the TL-S.

Well, I had a pretty good financial year so I decided to get all my Comptech stuff, get them installed, go to Acura dealer and put a deposit on the TL-S or TL-X (whatever it is) and they thought I was on crack! They said we can't take an order for something that doesn't exist or is coming out. I told them, trust me, make a new book for TL TypeS and I want to be the first one on the list and here's a $1000 bucks. They actually refused the freakin money. WTF!

I wish Acura would put a true dual exhaust on the TL-S, that would make it truely awesome. And worth like $3K more than the TL.....

I'm still suspicious, because the CL-S is one of the reasons that CL's are selling so well, why jeopardize that by spreading the exclusivity?
