Alright just installed my bbk, i bled the driver front until no bubbles, then passenger front.

The pedal should not be mushy. You probably still have air in the lines. If you are doing the bed in and at the 10th stop it feels a little mushy and you smell the pad burning then that can be ok but it shouldn't be mushy from the start and it shouldn't stay mushy.

thanks for chimming in excelerate...

i did a cycle of bed-in and this is what i noticed:
it became firm because of rapid and multiple hard braking (results: smoke)... but after it gets mushy, like it doesn't hold pressure if u know what i mean. if i pump the brakes, after the 3rd one it feels perfectly firm. after 5-15 seconds it gets soft again.

odd leaks? maybe i'll rebleed them once more, but i had absolutely no air bubbles for the 5 extra times i pressed brakes during bleeding.

^^wait - that's not the bleed order for stock - according to Tom, it is LF, RF, RR, LR - start at driver, then go clockwise. is it different on BBKs?

Buy a 4lb rubber mallet and bang on the calipers HARD while you bleed them. This dislodges a lot of trapped air bubbles.

OOps fingers were ahead of my brain on that. But he needs to bleed all 4. he said he just bled the front.
