Muffler Just fell off car!

It cracked right where the muffler meets the pipe that comes from the y intersection. I am wondering if a muffler shop can just weld it back on or do I have to buy a new on and put that on. Take a look.

Let me know what everyone thinks

you can get it welded back. They are going to just add a piece of longer pipe to it. ITs an easy fix for them

Dammit, I thought this only happened to older American cars. Now I gotta go under there and take a look to make sure mine's okay. Sorry to hear.

that sucker is rusted pretty good.

You know, it's a good excuse for you to buy a new exhaust system

Is the exhaust part of the emissions systems and therefore warrantied for longer than the 4/50K?

went to take the blockbuster movies back just a minute ago, and gave it some gas. It sounds like rice mania when wot. It did feel like it got through the gears quicker. It chirped the 1st shift into second for a while longer than it did before. I guess taking the restriction (muffler) off helped hp a little. I called acura and they are going to get back to me on fixing this under warranty even though I am at 51k. We shall see.

Sorry to hear and let us know the bottom line if Acura stands up and honors the warranty.

There is no bumper-to-bumper warranty to honor at 51k. They could do it as a goodwill though, or if the muffler is an emissions device with a longer warranty.
