Now that I picked up my WDP TL-S with Navi where can I get a factory match in mudguards?( In white, the black which I have now don't cut it)
I also need the update DVD version 2.05.(Car came with 2.04 version)If
there is a 2.05 version my sales manager did not know.

 

OEM is black only. Someone mentioned that the rubber is too soft for paint to stay on. Do a search on "mudguard" as this was discussed a few times before.

 

Nope, mudguards only come in black, which fortunately looks pretty good on my SSM. Read my other post about the sucky 2.05 DVD version.

 

I recently posted a msg if RL mudguards fit the TL as they're color matched to the car. No replies so far...

 

That's right. Mudguards only come in black. (At least for TL they are..) I just asked dealer to put them on. They looks OK on my ABP; not bad!

 

This has been covered over and over

1) They can be painted
2) Surface should be sanded to rough it up
3) Paint should have flex additive

Mine were done 2 years ago and look fine. I did not install them on my TL-S as I cannot stand the looks on a juiced car. My toher TL's were more sedate looking.

 

Remeber that if you plan to put on factory underbody kit save your money on mudguards. The underbody kit & mudguards will not fit together. The new NAV 2.05 version DVD was released 09/01/01. I would not get it if I were you alot of people are complaining about it. I got it & I am very satisfied with it . Most that are complaining about it have 2.03 version in 2001 cars. I had the 1.09 version in my 2000TL thats almost 2yrs old.
Don't upgrade a 2.04 DVD for a 2.05 I am sure its not worth the cost. I have found at least 3 addresses of people on my new 2.05 that were not on 1.09 DVD. I also see changes of symbols that were not on 1.09. The 2.04 might already have this stuff & even 2.03. I can only go by what I see from 1.09. I do know for a fact that the 1.09 had 3.3million points of intrest & the 2.03 had 3.7million. I don't know about 2.04. There are stilll many areas of non detail coverage.

 

I did see them on a white RL and they looked great.
I will check the dealership this weekend.

 

my mother has a 2000 RL and it came with the black ones. she Bought the white mudguards and put them on. They come standard on the 2002 RL's. IMO it looks MUCH better.
