Mud Guards (revisited)
I know there was some discussion about mud guards a few days back, but I wasn't paying attention until now. I just noticed all the goop they put on my tires at the car wash spun off onto the side of the car, along with muddy water stains from the melting snow in NJ. I've determined that I need these mud guards, but was wondering if it would be difficult to put on myself. A&H Motorsport sells the factory ones for a little over $50 for the set.

Is it just a matter of putting on a few screws? I think there are pre-drilled holes, so there's no drilling involved. Or do you guys think I could get my sales guy to hook me up. I just got a message from him this morning, which was a follow-up call to check to make sure everything was cool with the car. He asked that I call back with any issues. An earlier poster said it cost him $150 to buy and have installed at the dealer in Princeton, NJ. That's a bit steep, especially if I can buy them for $50 and do it myself.
Sorry for the long post...DA

In other words save your $$ if you plan to get kit later.

If you leave your mud guards on for a while then take them off to put on a body kit, you will notice they will leave black rubbing marks in the paint where the mud guards were. So take them off now if you ever plan on getting a kit!!

I ordered mud guards from A&H yesturday, hopefully i'll see them by thursday. Unfortunatly the dealer is getting my car next monday for a few days to repaint my roof because of the scratch.
I hope I don't get more problems when I get it back. Love the car, you cant feel the speed. I keep hitting 85mph by accident. Still quite a bit of road noise but the engine is smooth. My friend was in it for the first time today and asked me if the engine was on.

BTW, sorry to hear about the scratch on your roof.

They are fairly easy to put on. There is no drilling required, there are spots that are very thin that you put the screws through. When I did it I didn't even need to take off the wheels or jack up the car.
