I just want to know something... when all these magazines tested the TL-S... were the test done with the "SS" or auto? Wouldn't you guys think that matters? I know the "SS" isn't near 6 speed... but it's a lot better than the auto. (I use the "SS" about 95% of the time).

I Test Drove Both Cars Saturday
Ok. Let me put it to you guys straight. I actually test drove both cars this weekend. I will admit I went into the test driving spree with a bias toward Acura. I have never been a real fan of the Honda/Acura lineup after having unusually bad luck with a 91 Accord. First stop was the Infinity dealership to test the the G35. I was impressed upon sight with exception of the rear end. But the second I sat in the driver's seat everything went down hill. The seats were mediocre at best. The interior quality seemed a little cheap for what by all means should be the companies standards. The car was fast. There is no debating that, but the car just didn't feel as sporty as it should. It felt like piloting a very awkward and fast bubble. I couldn't imagine paying $30,000 for that thing. Second Stop the Acura dealership. I was impressed by the looks of the car when I saw one fitted with the Acura optional bodykit and black wood trim. Very nice. And remember I am still prejudice against Hondas. I proceeded to open the door and sit inside the one in the showroom just to see how it felt. The TL Type S is definately more comfortable when it comes to seating. The interior just begs for spirited driving. And once I hit the road I was in love with the car. Very nice and very responsive. Very unlike the G35. Well, that's my story about how the 2003 Acura TL Type S changed my mind about the Honda family and made my day. Now I don't want to own anything less.
