More Engine Break-in posts

Ok,

Now that I hit 600 miles on my TL-S driving nice and calm, I need some advice on how to further breaking in my engine. I heard I should start driving at higher RPMS to break-in the car more. i.e. rev at 4000 RPMs... then at 5000 RPMS ... then at 6000 RPMS.. etc.

So does that mean I should just drive on the Freeway at D4.. then at D3.. so my RPMs will be constant about 4000 RPMS or then later at 5000 RPMS. Or should I just do sudden bursts like when I try to pass and not RPM it high constantly.

Let me know what you guys think. (So what if I'm wasting gas)

Personally I broke it in "nice and calm" up until 1,000 miles. After that I drove it like normal. I probably didn't really get on it until around 1800-2000 miles b/c I was adjusting to the larger car......

Same here, except I didn't get to Vtec'ing it until after my first oil change at 3750.

I don't think you want to be at any constant speed for much of a period of time during your breakin period, you want to vary your speed (doesn't have to be drastic).

Rage?
