Can someone elaborate exactly how Molykote should be applied to the factory brake pad shims/calipers?

From what I can tell without the shop manual, it should be applied to the entire pad shim surfaces that contact the pad backs. Is this all thats recommended?

 

thats right. make sure you only put very little. also put a trace on the ears(metal ends) of the pad, and both sides of the shims
