Moleskin for window tint on 2000 tl?

Do I need to put moleskin on my White 2000 tl w/ Navi?

I've been reading about it and I'm not sure they are talking about my 2nd Generation tl. All I see is posts about the 3rd gen 2004 models scratching the window tints without moleskin.

I also have a Navi and I guess i'll have to go with non metalized or ceramic but I still want a lifetime warranty... I live in Dallas if anyone can recommend a good place

So here goes:

I want a smoke black window tint with a lifetime warranty.
I don't want it to scratch so i'll buy moleskin if I have to... If I have to.
What brand should I get (best bang for the buck) ceramic or dyed with a lifetime warranty... and where should I go... Suggestions in Dallas?

Never had a problem with any tint scratching with my TL-S. Never heard it being an issue with the 2nd gen TL's

I use plain 'ol microfiber towels and have never had an issue...

If you are truly looking at dark tint (likely 20% or darker), you probably won't get a lifetime warranty. But mine is 3 years old this week and is looking pretty good still.

moleskin

moleskin is only an issue for the 3rd gen tl. ours are fine.

regarding tint, just be sure to not use ammonia based window cleaners like windex. they will turn your film purple over time.

a good tint job will make your tl cleaner looking and more enjoyable. also saving your interior from rays is a plus.

i paid $170 for my tint in seattle 35% all around. i love it, its perfect with a lifetime warranty.
