FYI.. i have a '99 Black TL. i just notcied last week that the (black) molding on the doors was fading and cracking real bad. it was almost like the paint was chipping off. so i took it in to the dealer- John Eagle in Houston. the guy glanced at it and told me to leave the car with him and they would replace all 4 moldings under warranty. it was almost like he expected this to happen "any day now"!
they took care of it and its perfect now. anybody else had/have similar problems? in case you do, its covered under warranty. the dealer said its related to the weather so it might just be a Texas thing.

I haven't noticed anything but there's no sun up here to do much damage. Does anybody know how to take them off? Can they be carefully pried off from the outside or are they mechanically fastened thru the door. I planning to polish/wax soon and would like to remove them first.

 

I also have that happened to me in my 99 TL. I just came back from Park Ave to set up an appointment. Also, the black doorsill is losing some of its color also. So they will replace all 4 pieces for me plus the window sill black tape too. All this is under warranty, thank god. I am doing it right now because I have 48K miles on it. I beleive the warranty runs out at 50K miles. But be aware that the extended warranty does not cover this type of problem. So get it fix now if you have this problem.

Jens at Park Ave noticed my window trim was bubbling and he said just to bring it in an he would fix it. I'll be going back soon either for Comptech Exhaust or CAI.

I think the modling for the sunroof has discolored... or it became a bit white-ish. What's up with that?
