Modding the alarm

Is there a way to mod the alarm so it flashes the high beams instead of the low beams?

err... my alarm does not flash any lights except the tails and the front corners.... if I leave the lights on, lock up, and then come back to the car and hit the unlock button, the headlights come on. I am not sure what you are talking about?!

Wouldn’t that kill your highs if they kept flashing over and over... I think there is a similar thread on these boards about that, and everyone said not to cuz it could kill your highs. but im not positive.

Yes, your car does flash the headlights - like all TLs do. If you park the car with the headlights left in the on position they will flash. If the headlights are in the off position they won't flash.

some have said that it will kill the low beams faster due to improper warm-up/cool down...and when you leave the headlights on i think the lights, ALL are supposed to come on and stay on at least thats what my car does

yeah, do the foglight mod. You can turn on your fogs with your parking lights instead of your headlights and the will flash when you arm/disarm the alarm. Pull of the the drivers side fuse panel and pusht the foglight switch forward. It will pop out. Unplug the harness behind the switch, cut back the black casing around the wires and splice the 3rd and 4th wire together (wht/red and red/blk). Tape it back up and put everything back together and you're done. Here is a pic of the harness. Here is the DIY from Acura Inspired...you have to be a member to view it though.
