Post Miles MULTIMEDIA install pics.....

Hey all! Here's a nice two week project just completed....should have only taken one, but a part got delayed.

Anyway, the whole system is Alpine. It consists of alpine indash dvd, alpine indash 6.5" monitor and cd player, alpine 6.5" widescreens in each headrest, alpine dvd navigation in trunk, playstation controllers in the rear door ash tray compartments, headphone jacks in the rear console where the door used to be, 4" speakers in the seatbacks to listen to audio out of that seats monitor (which can be turned on and off and is controlled directly through the monitor), alpine 6 disk changer and playstation mounted in the rear ski pass....
Each monitor can play independently, so you can have the navi, dvd, and playstation all displaying at the same time, as well as listen to each one individually....

ENJOY THE PICS www.streeteffectz.com/ivaninstall

I was just thinking that very thing after I saw slickTL17's post.

That whole system looks like it would run about $4000, how much did it end up being?

I agree when i first saw it, but once the screen tilts up, you won't be able to see that area anyway. Say if anyone wanted to add something to that spot, what would they add that would fit? Or should i just leave it alone and cover it with wood so that it looks like a factory install? Thanks!

Ah, that's what I thought. Don't forget to post pic once HU is done.

The location of PS2 controller port is slick. I like it.

Wink

You forgot the missles that shoot out from the the front fog light holes and the oil slick that sprays on the road when the license plate lifts up...

I think you said there was going to be a TV tuner as well right? Cool. You can catch the game even if you happen to be out.

I can't see what else you would really need in that bad boy. Already very complete. I just hope miles is protecting everything with a good alarm.

Don't they have some sort of wireless thing for the ps2? I mean... all that work with the ports is smooth and all, but wireless.. wave of the future! Sorry.. forgive me... just put in a wireless router in my house and I'm so freaking happy. I can now sip a cold one while surfing out in the yard.

Oh yeah where can I get those green switches? I've only seen non-lit or full red ones but not the green. It matches very well with the interior lighting scheme. Let me know. But still speechless.

oh yeah, only one suggestion would to be cover the back of the PS1 and the changer to match the trunk.

but again looks sweet.

I am truely shock at the numerous responses for the playstation controller inputs in the rear ash trays! I personally thought it was inconvenient as oppose to putting it on the back of the center armrest! haehaehaehaeahe I thought i would see more comments on other things, but ps1 controller inputs? LOL! Now back to my original question, what else can i fit in the front dash to cover that big empty spot instead of covering it with wood? Thanks

Im sure Ron could think of something. Just ask him. What about custom display for a radar detector? Ya know the ones where you can hide the unit behind your grill and it has a separate display.
