Mid Muffler..

Got it removed today! I love the way it sounds now, but it only sounds good at low RPMs. When I rev it up, seems that my intake takes over. Why is that?

Because your intake makes more noise. Also as the RPM goes up the tone changes.

So if I tell my muffler shop to take out the mid-muffler, they should know what to take out right?

I'm not looking for a loud exhaust...

lol you sound like me. You say you don't want a loud exhaust but you're thinking about doing the mid-muffler mod. You get a tiny bit more loudness but the main difference is in pitch. I personally want to revert to stock because hearing every little change in engine speed is getting on my nerves.

As far as them knowing what to take out, don't assume. Show them what they need to take out so there's no mistake! It's the muffler right before the pipe splits into two directions (at the end of the car, of course)....you can't miss it.

Thanks!

I don't know if the engine speed change noise would get on my nerves. I cannot stand droning though... That shit is FTL.

Removing the mid muffler and resonator on teh stock setup does not create much more noise at all. The softest of radio can drown it out.

I didn't know our car's exhaust made a sound?

If it does, I've never heard it. Maybe with the removal I can hear it a little more...

our factory exhaust isnt that shitty, pretty free flowing, and with some tips it looks good. you wont hear it until you remove at least the mid muffler

I just did the muffler, not the resonator in front of it.

no he did just like me..... first remove the mid muffler... the one that is closest to the rear of the car. after that we removed the resonator... but we got a raspy noise at about 2k... so we added a aftermarket resonator in place of the stock resonator under the car right after the cat
