Mesh on the front bumper mouth

Anyone ever tried to install mesh same as or similar style to the plastic mesh on the front grille into the bottom mouth?

I was wondering if anyone has experience with this because after I painted my grille all black I noticed that if the mouth had a black mesh, it would make the car look sporty as hell!

I thought about doing it but never got around to it. I think it would look nice in black but you would have to paint it and not leave it metal.

I'll use my "Fake HDR" pic since u can see the mesh on the grille...you can imagine what it'd look like on that bottom mouth. I was looking at my Dad's E500 benz and it looked really sporty with the black mesh on the bottom.

i always thought about this. it'd give extra airflow thru the fake fog spots in the 99-01 TL and yeah it'd be super sporty

Well I chopped how the OEM style mesh might look if it were deep into the bottom grille or right along the outside edge.

I just use the one from Home Depot. Looks ok, but not spectacular. The black paint on the mesh is almost gone due to flake and rock chip. I need to repaint mine.

i took off the bumper and use some black zip ties, and tied them to the bar that runs through the middle, and just made them as hidden as possible....thats also the grille-tech one thats on e-bay....which about a year later the paint has come off almost completely and it has rust
