Mesh

Is it possible to take off all the black plastic from the lower front bumper, and replace it with mesh? I know you can replace the fake fog light holes with mesh, but what about that big middle piece?

It's the same process as the fog holes, it has to be cut out. Although Jaydef has put mess behind the black and it looks really good, it makes the detail in the lower grill stand out.

I'm going to do my grill this coming long weekend. I bought some round mesh foil.

What I'm going to do is to cut out the OEM cross mesh, leaving only the emblum and the "wings". I'll paint the remaining plastic with some black glossy paint. Then I'll put the round mesh behind it. I've a NBP 99 TL and I'm still debating weather to use original silver colour mesh, or paint it black. Then I'm going to use the 2nd foil for the fog holes. Again, silver or black Anu suggestions guys?

I'll see if I can post some pics when I'm done with it.

Depends what's your car's color...i'm planning to use silver because it'll match the car.

My TL is black, 99. I think I'm leaning towards black mesh now. If my car is silver or white, I'd leave them as is. But since mine is black, I want it to sort of blend in with the rest.

I have a larger pattern mesh done through out the bumper.

The holes aren't small like you usually see.

My mesh is from Folia Tec. It's already titanium color. It is make of stainless steel so it won't rust, and it's specifically for grill/bumper application. German made Mine is circle pattern, pretty big holes too.

Once I'm done with the grill and the fog holes, I'll post some pics

I'll decide to stay titanium color or plain it black once I mount it on my black TL.

Someone asked about glue, I'm going to use metal clips screwed/crazy glued to the mesh then clip it to the existing plastic in the fog holes. I'll let you guys know how it works out
