Post Memory Seats in TL-S

I got my TL-S yesterday and found a problem with the memory seats. I can program the seats as described in the manual and they work when the 1 or 2 button is pushed on the door. They do not respond to either remote control. The remote controls work properly for unlocking/locking the doors and opening the trunk. Does anyone else have this problem?

Did you electronically set each remote to a specific memory (i.e. 1 or 2)? There are actually instructions on the remote unit itself (on the back in white lettering) -- or you can refer to the manual for more in-depth instructions. It basically involves holding down two of the four keys on the remote unit while the car is close and locked. Then you open the door, adjust the seating to your position, and then press "1" or "2" -- depending on who won the bet. Then that remote unit will be allocated to the memory button you pushed.

Thanks Peter. That solved the problem. I read the section on memory seats but the part about the remote control is elsewhere in the manual. I also didn't realize that the seat doesn't move until you open the door. Our Chrysler Minivan moves the seat with the door closed when you unlock. This was a realy productive post. It took less than 10 minutes from posting the question to solving the problem. Thanks again.

I was puzzling for awhile before I found the instruction on the back of the fobs.
It works very well now that I know how to link them
