Well, I think my car caught wind of all the tranny problems. This morning I was head for work and that's when the fun started. I was in regular mode and it wouldn't shift past 3rd gear. When I slowed down the RPM shot up to about 4500 and the car jolted forward, I guess thats when it decided to shift down. Then my check engine like came on, VSA indicator came on, and D5 kept blinking on/off. I think i need a priest to conduct and exorcism on my baby!!!
Anyway, I had my car towed to the dealer and I'm waiting to see what he has to tell me. I'm willing to bet anything that it will fail and I'm going to have to wait 2 weeks for a new tranny. On the bright side, I got a very sporty british racing green Metro as a loaner.
P.S. To all those that own a TLS in the Glen Oaks/Floral Park area of NYC. The dealer mentioned to me that people have been stealing our RIMS. There was a guy with a black TLS that had his stolen just today and he was on his way in. I live in the area so now I will have to go out and by some wheel locks. JUST AN FYI!!

Sorry about your tranny...hope it's a pretty painless experience getting this resolved.
thanks for the update on the rims (even if it's not Texas...yet). It makes me feel a little better for forking out $50 for them wheel locks!

WOW! You too. This is really getting sad. I am doing a research of old posts and will post the results later, but this is REALLY getting ridiculous! These cars are not that old!!!
Your LED display is EXACTLY what happened to me Tuesday!
Sorry about that.

Sorry to say, welcome to the club. It sucks you have to wait 2-3 weeks for the new tranny. I guess that's a sign of a back-order. It only took 1 day to get mine and another day to install. But it did take 2 days to figure out what was wrong since they (my dealership and Acura) had never seen this problem before.
Now, is anyone gonna keep saying it must be driving style?!
I wonder if, since I seem to be the first in the country (according to Acura) to have had tranny problems in a TLS, that if Acura had figured out what was wrong with the faulty trannies when I had mine replaced. Hopefully I didn' t get another tranny that's going to go bad. So far I've put another 17,000 miles on it since it was replaced. I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed.
