let me ask you guys a question,
wat is the main reason u would buy headers?
hp gains right?
how do u even know these headers even give any HP gains? If not wat the hell is the point in buying them??
Until I see some dynos on these headers or a lot of feedback on them I would buy them otherwise its a waste.

I'm also a little skeptical, but the comptech header performance is well documented, and these are basically comptech knock offs, so it stands to reason the performance may be in the ballpark.
I know there are a lot of "ifs" there, and they are not exactly the same headers, but in light of the info in front of me, I felt at $242 shipped it was a manageable and controlled risk.
Would I try this on everything, no - but headers on a car is not exactly rocket science. I look forward to hearing about others experience with these headers, and will relay my own when I get them installed in about a week.

To reset the ecu i use to disconnect the negative terminal from the battery for about 2 hours. Plug it back in, let the car relearn its idle, it will sputter a lil and sound like it will shut off. Give it a few minutes. After it feels normal take the bitch out and driver her like you stole her. Drive it hard. Redline the shit outta it. Drive it like that for a few minutes. Leave it in auto also if you want the car to be more aggressive when it shifts. That day you prolly wont feel much, but for some reason when the car is left overnight and turned on the next day, the power improvement is there. It should feel peppierr and such.
looks like they might be setting up a group buy here ---> http://www.v6performance.net/forums/...ad.php?t=42954
they're meeting at the flagpole at 7:15 AM tomorrow morning and then driving to the shop. You have to contact them soon if you want to go, but seeing that the headers still aren't installed yet, i guess you'll have to wait til next time. They have dyno and tech days every so often. I'll let you know when the next tech or dyno day is so we can see results.
I know these headers are not CARB certified, but I've read posts where 3 other readers who had headers other than CT's, got smogged and passed the first time. I don't remember any other them were runnign Megan's or not, but since they're all the same, I would think the results will be close.

they have the same T-03 Stanless steel material...comptech also has this...i guess al the difference is brandname and welding.
BTW* for those who dont know...AV6 headers fit all sec gen TLs.

Finally got the Megans on. Cost $120 at the dealership. The kit showed up complete with all gaskets, bolts, etc., and the box wasn't even dented. everything was packaged well and looked very good.
I was told installation was a snap with no fit problems.
Performance improvements were noticeable right off the bat, with no rattling or resonance. The sound is nice but not overpowering.
I paid $240 shipped for my set - all in all well worth the $$. Anyone getting these headers will be happy with them.
