My wipers suck too, which are the same ones as the TL. I got my car is May and they are already streaking. I might get the bosch replacements tomorrow. I tried Rain X, but it streaks........not real noticable, but I'm really anal about clean windows.
With all the streaking- do you guys clean the wiper blades now and again? They do get dirty, ya know.
I use RainX, have the original wiper blades (May '01), and I can see clear as a dry day in the rain. And believe me, in the summer, it RAINS here.
And, there was some RainX-like treatment on all my windows when I picked up the car from the dealer new. It lasted about 3 months- that may help explain the fast-seeming deterioration. I wonder if this is prepped at the factory this way?

Silicon wiper blades leave a slight residue of silicon like anything that rubs on another surface. You can't see it and it acts like rain-X. The blades stay way more flexable in the cold weather than the standard blades as well.
I just bought a set of the PIAA silicone wiper blades and let me tell you, they are GREAT!! The only drawback is that they are kind of expensive, at $20 each. I hope they last as long as 3 or 4 regular wiper blades so that I get my money's worth.
That's weird, I am still on my original blades and I have a 99 TL. Yea, the streaking is starting but it's not bad at all. Damn I must have super blades for it to last this long.
Oh well, time to upgrade soon.

I use the factory OEM blades only.
I am on the 2nd replacement set since I got the car 3years ago.
I use the RAIN-X windshield washer fluid in the washer resivior.
I use the orange de-icer kind in the winter & the green bug wash kind in the summer.

Hum...I have a 2002 TL-S and am still using stock blades. Been using them since my baby was new (July 2001). They are still working fine. Let me tell ya, it does rain and snow pretty hard here in Chicago.
