MAYA / BAYA question

How do I know if I'm getting an 06/07 transmission if I buy rebuilt? From what the shop says the only difference between 04-07 is the torque converter.

All I know is that an 04-05 the TC supposedly will not fit. But someone will probably come around and give you the definitive info.

From: Baja, México.
Only way to know is if the Car VIN Tag is still on the transmission...
Most rebuilders will remove this tag so only Honda using the Bar Code on the Transmission Sticker will know which car was installed originally.

As for the differences internally I will assume a rebuilder will not know about differences in internal oil passage sizes or specific tolerances, They only replace parts. So saying that the 04-07 is the same transmission is purely subjective. Torque Converter is the most obvious difference since they are not interchangeable with the engine.

So if you want to be 100% sure the transmission comes from a 06-07 make them take a picture of the transmission VIN TAG.
