i was reading somewhere about a possible manual transmission for the tls...anyone know anything about this?...projected time?

 

Do a search.... it's been discussed many times. Probably mid to late next year in the '03 model......

 

Acura has already tested the CL 6 speed manual. Since the TL and CL share same engine, interior, etc. It is very easy to added to the TL. The problem is the production lines. Acura does not want to make room to produce manual TL-s when they are not sure if it will sell. So the last thing I heard was that acura will not release a new CL in 2002 , but way until march next year to make early releases of 2003 CL and 2003 TL. This way they can make room for the production of both CL and TL 6spd manual. This came from a reilable source.

 

Assuming that Acura does produce a manual transmission for TL-S, will they drop the SS Auto? Just wondering.

 

Even if they do have a manual gearbox as an option....... the Automatic will always be there.............

Becuase it's not a pure sports car... hell even porshce 911 Turbo got automatic, now... I don't see why drop the automatic on the CL/TL...... that will totally make no sense...
