just unbolt them, and leave them unbolted. you can remove it if you need to, the bolts dont really hold it together.

They dont fold down, you can take them off though.

Taking the seats off is easy.

Putting them back on however, is not, well for me it wasnt. The stupid clips wouldnt go back in.

pretty sure there is bracing there that wouldnt allow you to put anything big through.

Try searching next time.. this has been brought up ever since users have found out that the rear seats in a TL don't fold down. Basically, its not impossible to do if you have the money.. but its not worth the money+time its gonna take you to do it.

the reason for this is, instead of porting through my rear deck i was going to port through the back where the seats were and seal off from trunk. i normally dont have more than one passenger, but occasionally i do so i still need some seats. but i would have them folded down most of the time for the subs. is the seat one big part or is the part you sit in seperate from the rest?

There are 4 10mm bolts you need to remove. 1(x2) on each side of the closest to the doors and there is 1 holding the selt belt buckles. (You will need and extenstion on the sockets.) Push down on the cushions of the seats, and you'll be able to see these bolts. Once you remove the bolts, Pull the cushion Up from the front of the seat(they are held by clips). Once you remove the seat cushion, you'll be able to remove the seat backing by pulling up as well.(they are held by hooks).

Hope these instructions help.
