Make Suggestions

Greetings:

I am soooo glad I found this site. You rock - there's lot's of experience in here.

Issue:
It's time to pimp my ride a bit. It's a 2002 TL-S Navi, white pearl. 100% stock right now. I'm 42 and I am more interested in performance but a bit of a mean look is also in the plan. I'll take pics and write about it along the way.

From the multiple forums, this seems to be the leading stuff (Y'all seem to like CT):

Air Induction:
CT Icebox

Plugs:
Bosch Platinum

Exhaust:
CT headers and cat-back system. ItfI think the sound is too much, I can add CT's tip resonators. BUT most think the sound is cool.

Swaybars:
CT set but they come with rubber not poly bushings. Any opinions on bushings?

Strut bar:
CT titanium

Springs - Handling performance and lowering, not stock height:
CT (new ones that don't sag in the back) AND the camber kit.

Shocks:
? ? ?

Tires:
I don't want to futz with the the wheel wells. This suggests 18 rims and probably the Mich Pilot ZRs.

Have at it - and thanks for the help.

suggestion - Plugs

i would probably recommend the NGK Iridium IX plugs over the bosch plugs.

this is probably what most here would suggest too.

Strut bar: really isn't needed...it only helps a little bit to the handling...the sways and springs/shocks are what do it for the handling. So it's up to you if you want to spend the extra cash on a strut bar

Plugs: Denso Iridium's are also a top choice

Springs: There's been a problem w/ the CT springs with them rusting and all. I don't know? A big choice are the H&R Sport springs

Shocks: Koni Yellows

Exhaust: CT, HKS Super Draggers, Greddy Evo/Evo2...etc

Headers: CT are of the best quailty...but are quite expensive. Everyone else is a copy off their design. The next best are the AlphaWerks

If I were you, I'd definitely hit up the stock body kit for the TL, it looks real sharp.

As far as I know, nobody's had the Alphawerks on their car long enough to know how well they hold up.

Yes...you're right...BUT...Everyone that I've seen that has em says the welds are almost as good as CT's, they fit PERFECTLY....and they're happy. I've heard complaints about Stone and OBX for poor quality and fitment issues. I'm just giving him the heads up.

Tom the CT headers are 1100 and the icebox is like 200 or so , id say skip those both and just get the CT supercharger that comes with the ice box and a decent set of springs. unless you plan on autcrossing it or something the sways and stuff i dont think are really all that neccessary. Grippy tires and a good set of springs will make the car handle great. and if anything with an Acura id get new brakes before i got a sway bar kit. thats just my opinion.
