Make my TL faster
Hello I am new to the forum. I have a 99 TL and its all stock. I am ready to start doing things to it. I want to get a AEM V2 but they all say 2000+. Will it fit a 99? What are some other things I can do to my car to make it faster without spending an arm and a leg? Thanks

I/H/E/P... welcome to the board
Oh, by the way, that's Intake/Headers/Exhaust/Pulleys. Then, of course, if you're crazy enough, Comptech Supercharger for about 4-5k.

check my sig - I am very happy with my mods, the only thing I may do is to add a new lighter crank pulley - but I am pretty satisfied with how it is now. I mean it will never be real fast, but it is quite a bit faster than stock. BTW the AEM V2 fits just fine.

The DVD Navi system box is just simple plug and play an only think you need Navi code.(can get that at any Acura dealer) It's going cost around 300-450, but worth every penny.
GOOD LUCK MAN.... WELCOME AcuraZine......

Since I see you have a 99 TL, take off your shift plate and soak in paint remover or graphiti remover for a minute and wipe off the gray paint. Chrome underneath.
This only works on the 99TL.

Thanks. So I was looking on ebaymotors and could not find a acura DVD Navi unit. Do I just have to wait until one becomes available? Is yours an Acura DVD unit? Or can I use another unit? Did you get yours new or used? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks

Ya if there isnt one on now...just keep looking there will be one seems like every week or so. You have to get an Acura one - the DVD version. Get one from the '00-'03 TL or '02-'03 CL or '00-'03 MDX, they will all work fine - just dont get one from the '04 or newer TL or from the new RL because they are totally different. I got mine used for like $280 shipped I think - so you could pay something similar if you look long enough.
