make clear headlights look better.

Has anyone besides me thought that the cleared headlights would look a lot more finished if we, instead of just removing the yellow reflector, replaced it with a clear one? Has this been discussed in the past? Is this product already available w/o my knowing about it? ...if not, possible group buy?

I know a buddy of mine got them for his GrandPrix at grandprixstore dot com... I will see if I can get some answers from those people. ....Something tells me they won't be so quick to help out with a TL.

i have a mirror sticker over my reflector, and from 5 feet away from my car, u cant even tell its not truly clear.

NSXNext ran this by me... u cud take out the reflector and then put the mirrror tape on it, and put the reflector back in.

i thought clear corners looked good on the TL, and then when i went to my first meet and saw the 99-01s w/ clear corners it looks mad funky b/c there was this big square indent where the reflector was... if uve seen it in person before, im sure u know wut i mean.

i'm actually *trying* to get this made for our cars...you open up the lights and replace with a clear/opaque strip. i'm trying to get the real stuff that looks like the amber reflector...it won't be the home depot fluorescent light panels.

Am I missing something here? My chrome reflector looks great. If you are talking about a clear one over a chrome one then I prefer the chrome one like it is now.

i have been thinking about his lately...sure the chrome matches and all, but you have those little holes where the amber reflector was held in place. it kinda has that "wow, what's different" factor, but i guess i am/we are trying to be different!

Have you guys thought about just painting the reflector with chrome or silver paint. Someone recommended this a while back. Sounds like it would look good, but I haven't had time to clear mine yet.

I got a final b.s. answer from these people if anyone is interested:
"Actually, it usually requires a minimum investment of about $25K to start something like this, as simple as it looks. We can't help with that. I'm sure someone makes these for the TL - have you tried searching the web?"
No, you frigin moron.... I didn't think of searching the web. *sarcasm*

Why would anyone wants to pay another $300 or so for a set of headlight housing (if you can find one) when clearing it out is so simple? Takes about 2 hrs with a $4 tube of silicon. Trust me, just do it once and you'll know what I mean. You can teach a monkey to do it!!
BTW, when you remove that orange reflector, you can take a can of aluminum spray paint and paint it and stick it back in. It looks very sharp...or you can just leave it out like everyone else did.

Been there; done that. I guess I'm just incredibly anal. I like to leave things as good or better than stock after a mod. No one gets near the whip with a can of Krylon. Also, I'm not looking for a whole new housing, just a replacement reflector; a clear one.
