Major fog light issue

I accidentally ripped out the foglight harness. i dont know how it happened but the bulb/ballast/harness is no where to be seen. the plastic underneath had been removed prior. i cant find any traces of the wires. this is the passenger side harness

what can i do? can i splice a wire to the other harness with a 9006 connector? if anyone can post some pics of the wires so i can trace it. itd be very helpful

rapid turns is usually when you put in lights that use less power, like leds...I thinkits because the light doesnt use all of the voltage or something.

well they were working fine for the last 4yrs lol until i spliced in the fog. again it could be pure coincidental that the bulbs blew out

Maybe since you spliced it into the driver side fog, that side has too much power running through it and it burnt out.

i switched out the bulbs and the passenger side works find but the drivers side still blinks rapidly. atleast i have a working turn signal now. anway to stop the rapid blinking? i also noticed that since the 1157 bulb is a dual filament bub ones meant for the parking and the other is for blinker. one the drivers side only one turns on for both blinking and parking

Try this... if you disconnect the passenger side 9006 bulb from the harness. If it still blinks fast then it has nothing to do with your splice.

I currently have no bulbs plugged in. drivers side is empty and the passenger side is plugged into a ballast but no bulb is plugged in the ballast. i could unplug it from the ballast and see if it works.

The ballast is powered even if there isnt a bulb right? I dont remember... its been a while. Ballast for an HID bulb right? I haven't had this same issue but I recall ppl having this issue if they used LED bulbs. I believe the resolution to that is was to put a resistor in the circuit. I believe the clicking/flashing is controlled by a relay under the hood in a fuse box.

I am not familiar with this either but if it is possible, try swapping the driver side and passenger side relays to see if it still flashes fast.

Again I never tried this but it would be something I would look into to try to troubleshoot the issue.

Go to a salvage yard, find a harness from the area you need and cut it. Then go home and splice, cut and solder, do whatever you have to do. Then tape it up and protect it however you need to and then you will have everything back to normal.

Then run your HIDs after you recieve a new set and you are back to where you started. I would also get the plastic piece that you said is missing.

GL!

tried the salvage yard in town. no TLs. he was acctually kind of a moron. dealer wanted 300 plus labor for the harness. i think adding the resistor might be my best bet just dont know how. has anyone on here done it yet? i know there are people running LED turn signals
