whats up guys...i have a little problem....i have a '99 tl w/navi and when i start the car, an orange "maint req'd" light comes on or blinks for about 15 seconds, and then goes away....any ideas why?....any info you guys can give me would be appreciated

means to do your oil change, check up etc. to get rid of it, i think hold down the "trip stick" in cluster for 10 secs or so and then turn on key so all lights up. keep holding stick down till it clears. but make sure you do oil change is you havent. this is the reseting point for next oil change. i'm no mechanic but just my 2 cents to maybe helping you out.

wangact is right, it will blink 10 times when it is approching 7500 miles from the last time it was reset. Basically it is ment to indicate that it is time for an oil change

its ment for oil changes and those ONLY. hold down the trip and reset buttons then turn your key to the run position (right before it starts) and hold the buttons till the light goes off(roughly 10 sec) read the manual. its in there and gives a description on the light

it goes on automatically after a certain amount of miles, doesnt mean anything.
