Cool Maintenece Required Light

Hey,

In my 99 TL one of the left taillight bulbs blew - and i didnt worry bout it cause im lazy, but everytime i would turn the car on the Maintenece Required Light would blink longer than all the others (a good 8 seconds or so)... I ignored it..

The other day the light went on and stayed on while i was driving (51072 miles).. Is there any way to find out whats wrong with it before i take it to a dealership and have to pay $$??

Thanks

Do a search for that on this site...ok Ill do it for you, https://acurazine.com/forums/search.php?searchid=16056

basically its just a timed light that is based on your mileage - only. doesnt mean anything is wrong with you car. Basically it is a reminder to change your oil.

The maintence required light is only a reminder for your oil changes. The check engine light is what tells you if their is a problem with your motor. To reset your maintenance light: with the key off, hold down the select/reset buttons to the left of your guage cluster. Turn the engine on, still holding down the buttons, until the light goes off. The light will stay off until you are "due" for you next oil change.

you dont need to start the engine, just turn it to the run position

and 2 the light doesnt tell you you need one, its preset to come on at a specific mileage. its just a reminer if you use the 7500 mile intervals for oil changes
