Maintenance Schedule

Do you guys think it is worth it following the maintenance schedule rigorously? My wallet gets very upset when it has to come to terms with anything more than a Type 1 (oil change) service.

I follow the every 6000km service religiously -- I plan on keeping this car until it goes into the ground. I'm sure Honda techs are a little gung-ho about what to do (since we live in Canada, we have to follow 'severe climate' maintenance while people in the continental US don't have to? I live in Windsor ... SOUTH of Detroit, MI!)

Some things I would never forget to do -- timing belt every 100,000km (despite what fattyms1 will tell you!) and oil changes every 6000km. Some of the others found in type 2 or 3 service (do they really need to grease the door locks or hinges?) might be to line the service department's pocket.

Since my car is a business expense, then I'll go to the dealership to get all the stuff done.

Don't do tha Type 1,2,3 services. Just follow the owners manual on what needs to be serviced.

usually the type 2 and 3 services are "inspecting this and that and lubricating this and that"
