Starting on Monday night, every time I start my car I get the "Maintenance Required" light flashing for about 5 seconds. The only things I have done to the car are remove the intake resonator, seafoam in vac lines and gas tank, and change the cabin air filters. The thing is, it seems that this light has come on after I changed the cabin air filters, which I did on monday. Will it go away soon, or could have something gone wrong? Maybe something else in the car went bad? BTW, while doing these things I followed the DIY's to a T. Thanks in advance for your help.

Seriously, this and many other questions have been answered a thousand times at least! Search for "Maintenance light" and your question will be answered.

 

I already searched and didn't really come up with much, but I will try again...

 

Ok I've got it now, seems I spelled something wrong without noticing it.

As general info- that light is reset with the trip buttons and is mileage activated so it reminds you when approaching 7500 miles for oil change

left hand thru steering wheel= push trip reset buttons and hold both in-
now with right hand-- turn key to on- but not start-
keep holding buttons in while light flashes several times then stops
You are reset for another 7500

 

Dummy light thats supposed to be reset at every oil change to remind you to change your oil (at 7500 mile increments) Nothing more nothing less.
