maintanece required light

maintanece required light

when i turn on the car my "maintanece required" light turns on and flashes 10 times.....what the problem is?

thats just a reminder for oil change- based on miles since its last reset
starts about 6500 and gets more insistant as it nears 7500

You reset it using the 2 trip buttons and the ignition key position, have to stick your left arm thru the steering wheel to operate key while holding buttons in with right hand
Careful to follow directions or you adjust the outside temp reading with the same buttons, but opposite use of ign.

Good deal, I love it when the owner book has the answer!

Have a read on the traction control and ABS brakes so you understand fully how and when they work too
the TL has some really cool features- like how the seat heat operates

doh!-
its stick left arm thru wheel to push buttons and right arm to use key--sorry if you dislocated anything trying it backwards!

I was going to comment on this yesterday and say you must be double jointed to do it the other way
