the maintance light is on for some reason. it just stays on and i dont know what to do. i just had an oil change but it wasnt from the dealer.please tell me how i can turn the light off.

I would have to check the owners' manual but I am pretty sure you hold down both the 'Select' and 'Reset' buttons on your dash for like 10 seconds.

 

As stated in the manual, hold down the trip odometer "Reset" and "Select" buttons. While holding them down, turn the ignition key to the II position (the one right before the engine cranks) for 10 seconds. Then release the buttons and shut the ignition off. This will reset your maintenance required light.

Make sure you hold down the "Reset" and "Select" buttons *before* turning the key. If you do it after, you will enter the mode for adjusting the offset for the outside temperature probe, which allows you to compensate +/- 3 degrees for calibration issues. If you don't know what it was set at to begin with, you could mess it up and have to reset it by trial and error.

 

How do you set the outside temp probe?? My outside temp reading is about 1C - 2C degree higher than actual....

I was able to get my maintenance light off, but now my car is making a beeping noise. It gives off two low beeps, waits about 15 seconds and repeats. This is driving me crazy. Any ideas on how to turn off the beeping? I screwed up the first time I tried to turn off the maintenance light
