Maintanance light can only be turned off by the dealership or maybe some other third party mechanics (not sure bout this)...what's your mileage? sometimes when you hit minor maintanance scheduling..you just need to tell the Acura about you changed the oil by yourself...they may want to switch it off for a much cheaper price...

this is how you can turn off the maintenance light with the car off using your left hand hold down the trip mileage reset and the select button on the dash just in front if the wiper switch on the steering column then put the key to the on (or start the car I forget but one of the 2 works) position and hold the 2 buttons for like 10 sec the light will go out and come back on in about 3-4 K miles

mine just started blinking when I start the car. It goes off after like 10-15 seconds but it seems to be blinking longer. Does this mean I need an oil change? I've had the car for 5,500 miles and it's never done it before. Did Jiffy Lube reset it? I wouldn't think those numbskulls would know to reset my light.... would they?

Could it be my car just tripped 25,000 miles? is there a 25,000 mile service I need to address? My dealership had to order me a manual so I don't have it right now.

The light trips after a set amount of miles from the time the light was last reset. I don't recall the exact numbers, but it will blink momentarily when starting the car say after 3-4K miles from the last reset. Between 4-5K it will blink longer. After 5k it will stay on continuously. Again, I made those numbers up, but you can get an idea of how the light progresses.
