would running out of wiper fluid cause maintenance light to come on?

Nope. Maintenance light is strictly on a timer by mileage. Once you reach the mileage it starts blinking. It does not monitor anything else in the car.

I believe that is the light I turned off myself a few months back.

dont u push like selet and old the restart button for 10secs or sumtin

yea just push and hold the trip and reset buttons and turn the key to the run position (dont start the car) and hold them till the light goes off. it will be 10 sec
