I drive it only 1 block to bar and back last 2 weeks. This morning I was "Of course I will change tranny, what I was thinking. Subframe will hold for a few years, and it will be enough". Went down to walk about babe once again, now parked at street, only to see this below. In only a few blocks of driving since tranny went frame is broken to. "Let me go my way honey, she said". No I will not spend 3k at 312K car. Will never forget her jet.

Can trade my carpentry skills for his mechanic skills. I have permitted all way till Sunday to park on street. Hopefully will be capable trade skills with someone.
just replace the rear subframe when you swap the transmission.
So when you replacing transmission you need to drop front subframe any way? So you just add rear sub. Well I rope myself with Acura TL 2008 with bad brakes, edit with bad brakes at minimum, so can not do much about it. Anyway would have to give it to mechanic. Best this way, my Acura tl 2003 will live another life. I'm surprised of amount of guys not afraid to tackle this job. Must be pro mechanic's. Here is link. Acura tl 2003 is towed away this morning. Just in time because it was on a public street and it will start snowing this afternoon and, in a few days, should be 16". And you cannot park in the street here when it is more than 3". Would be towed away without getting any money. So, I got 250$. Last photo. Did a few videos of it towed and me doing kiss good bay.
Actually I was at weekend at Upull and there was one good rear of front subframe, obviously from south. But cannot lie down under car at Upull for next a few months and buying tranny and cradle (rear of front subframe) on junkyard and hands of mechanic would add up to 3k. Time to work hard and buy a house with a garage. But even if would have garage do not know if it would make sense with this car. Would have to wait till spring than lie at Upull under Acura to pull out tranny and cradle, then replace valve cover as is some oil in spark plug well nr 4.. Got this Acura tl 2008 with 339K (yeah LOL) at auction for 850$ plus towing 160 plus keys 200. Would not buy if would not see it is 2008. I know now should check how much seat are worn out but look at moment new car is OK. If would work a few years would be fine.

Didn't discover that this car has subframe rust problem till 3 years of owning it. My post is #34. Then I sprayed it with cosmoline inside and out of subframe. But as it proved at my pickup to cosmoline do not work well inside cavities as it dries to plastic like surface where Fluid Film (Lanolin) move. You spray, cosmoline dry and when paint cracks it cracks at top of it and rust spread. Started spraying Fluid film in only in winter 2022 and it was too late. Maybe is for good as tranny and subframe together push me to give up at car. Cosmoline at outside surfaces of undercarriage work well as I can touch up easily every few months and it do not wash away easy like FF. Edit, however I'm sure that spraying with cosmoline extended life of subframe just to point where tranny was gone to so give me a few more years of driving it.
I would say the problem with Cosmoline in cavities is that you use wand and it does not apply enough spraying force into seams inside cavities. FF moves on its own. On open surfaces you can spray directly into seams and on surfaces with much more force so Cosmoline moves dipper into seams and into flat surfaces too that are rusty already.
Well, another fight with rust is over.
From 4 acura tl g2 that I saw at U-pull 3 had same broken rear of front subframe, all 3 at exactly same place like mine, and one had obviously replaced subframe. Even the price tag was still hanging from the subframe.
