Lowered and headlight too low

After i lowered my tl about 2.1 front and 1.75 back, now seems that the headlights are low. I saw once on the forum that one person said the headlight can be adjusted by a phillip screw driver. Can anyone identify where exactly the place for adjustments? Pictures would be great. Thx in advance.

In addition, what should be the correct height of the headlight or how i can measure the height of the light?

On the back of your lights, there should be a 10mm bolt between the HID and Highbeam light bulbs that you can turn, clockwise to lower the light, counterclockwise to raise it. The bolts have a blue mark on my car.

Don't have any pics but its pretty easy to spot the bolt. I believe it's 10mm. If you cant c it, try removing the plastic radiator cover.

you will need a 10mm, and a 5/32 hex. you will see U & D (up/down) and L&R (left/right) behind each headlight, look the on plastic trip on top for the leterring, then look right on the back side of the headlights, and you will see round metal knobs.

do the aiming against a wall about 25 feet back for best results. peace.

well, u r aiming the 'hot spots', and they should be a few inches (1.5-2.5 inches) lower than the distance of ground to your headlights, otherwise you will be blinding others drivers guaranteed. but 25 ft back you can tell where the light is hitting (hot spots).

take a ruler, measure the distance from the ground to the middle of your headlight....now take that measurement to the wall, subtract like 2 inches from the measurment, and mark the wall with that new measurement, and align your hot spot to that.

might be broken .....ive tried many times to aim it..i'd twist the knob, it would start going up then just drop!!!on top of that, i put a hole in my power stearing fluid reservoirs, cause i forgot to put it back and one of my pullies put a hole in it when my bro borrowed my car 40bux for a new one from plaza and i put it in myself

BTW...marcus is a dick and ur right when u say katie is dumb...but some of the girls that give u the receipts are pretty hot lol

i have located the the 10mm bolt. only problem for me is that there are not enough space for the socket. i guess i have to do some clearance before i can do the adjustment. also i think i need to take out the top plastic cover first.

On the driver side yes and the passenger side should have more than enough room.

You don't have to use a 10mm socket. You can also use a 4" long or longer Phillips screwdriver. Just make sure it is a pretty good size diameter screwdriver. About the size of a pencil or a little bigger works fine. There is a place made along side of the adjustment cap just for this. The teeth of the screwdriver slide inbetween the teeth of the adjustment cap.
