has anyone experienced these!? ::
1. you just start you car and it makes a low grumbling (not rumblin) noise becuase the rpms are below .5?
2. when you come to a stop, your rpms drop below .5 and it sounds like your car is gonna stall?
i've experienced this more frequently these days...anyone know why this could be happening and got a solution??
thanks!

Three Wheelin'
yeah, 91 is the minimum you should use. we only haev 91 here in cali, sniff sniff.... i would have gone to 93 if they have any.... trust me, 91 really reduce the power of the car by a ton....
well, i think they suggest you to use cheveron coz' they have something in the gas to help clean the engine. but i also heard that cheveron gas doesn't have the best performance. i am in cali and i always go with 76 unocol. occasionally i put in cheveron once to clean the engine.

very interesting...
i was first using chevron...
but switched to 76 because i thought engine performance would be better...
but when i switched to 76 ... my engine had a couple of false starts....and at one point took 5+ tries to get it started...
so that didn't make me too happy...
switch back to chevron....
haven't had a problem like that again

Drifting
hum... do you have a 2000 TL?
cuz there's some bugs in the 2000 TL ECU... which will cause the Engine Check Light to pop up, and unstable idle...

1999 TL....
yeah....i remember getting something in the mail about certain types of gas in cali ruin something of the car or somewhat.... but i didn't pay attention to it because i didn't think it was really useful... ...stupid me...
i guess i should find that letter...

chevron is the best for our cars..as in cleaning our engines..

Try a differeent brand.. give it 3 top ups and evaluate at that time. I used Conoco (I boycott it after they raised the gas price to $5.60 a gallon immediately after the 9/11 incident). I am using a regional gas QuickTrip and my gas mileage went up from 22 to 24mpg.Originally posted by sammy
