has anyone experienced these!? ::

1. you just start you car and it makes a low grumbling (not rumblin) noise becuase the rpms are below .5?

2. when you come to a stop, your rpms drop below .5 and it sounds like your car is gonna stall?

i've experienced this more frequently these days...anyone know why this could be happening and got a solution??

thanks!

sounds like you filled up with a lower octane gas. Are you using 91?

yeah, 91 is the minimum you should use. we only haev 91 here in cali, sniff sniff.... i would have gone to 93 if they have any.... trust me, 91 really reduce the power of the car by a ton....

well, i think they suggest you to use cheveron coz' they have something in the gas to help clean the engine. but i also heard that cheveron gas doesn't have the best performance. i am in cali and i always go with 76 unocol. occasionally i put in cheveron once to clean the engine.

very interesting...
i was first using chevron...
but switched to 76 because i thought engine performance would be better...
but when i switched to 76 ... my engine had a couple of false starts....and at one point took 5+ tries to get it started...
so that didn't make me too happy...
switch back to chevron....
haven't had a problem like that again

hum... do you have a 2000 TL?

cuz there's some bugs in the 2000 TL ECU... which will cause the Engine Check Light to pop up, and unstable idle...

Try a differeent brand.. give it 3 top ups and evaluate at that time. I used Conoco (I boycott it after they raised the gas price to $5.60 a gallon immediately after the 9/11 incident). I am using a regional gas QuickTrip and my gas mileage went up from 22 to 24mpg.
