Post Low Profile Tires...

I have heard many complaints on low profile tires.

They constantly blow out.
They provide a very rough ride.
They have terrible traction in wet driving conditions.

For those of you who have them, do you have these problems? If so, is there any way to remedy this?

They constantly blow out. MAYBE TRUE. MORE LIKELY TO BEND A RIM.
They provide a very rough ride. TRUE
They have terrible traction in wet driving conditions. NOT TRUE, UNLESS YOU GO CHEAP.

For those of you who have them, do you have these problems? If so, is there any way to remedy this?

They constantly blow out.
No more so that any tire has a chance of blowing...it just depends.
They provide a very rough ride.
Mine aren't rougher - quite smooth in fact - but just a little noiser than my stock 16s.
They have terrible traction in wet driving conditions.
Maybe only the serious ultra-hi performance "Summer" tires will not be as good, but any tire that is sold to consumers will have decent wet weather handling. My Michelin Pilot Sports 225/45 ZR18 handle so much better than stock, just can't compare. Adds confindence knowing you have that wide patch on the ground.

Well, i'm pushing more for 17's than 18's on my car(depending on what rim i get) because I want as much air between the tires and rims as possible... I know too many guys with 40's rubber or lower that bent their rims way too easily in these miserable NYC streets... If I got 18's I would put 45's , if I got 17's, I would opt for 55 or 50's.

The only thing that is true is that it makes the ride a little rougher. You can either try lowering the tire pressure or get a softer compound tire to lessen the roughness.
