Question Looking for K&N oversize oil filter

I currently use the HP-1004 K&N.
I am looking for an appropriate oversize K&N oil filter.

I am aware of the Mobil1 M1-105 oversize..unfortunatly they are not available in Ontario.
Thanks
J

Hmmm...keep me informed if you ever find the K&N oversized oil filter.

If Mobil1 M1-105 is not available, you can always try the Amsoil oversized (rated above M1-105) filter. Part # = SDF-44

Well after a little research.... I have been told that the HP-1005 is an oversize filter (in diameter only)
So I went down to my local auto shop that carries K&N this morning and .. of course.. they dont carry the 1005 in general stock. -its a special order-.. and if it doesnt fit.. I am stuck with it.

Has anyone seen the 1005 and do they match..???
Thanks
J

The major benefit that I am looking for is more filtering capacity, or filtering surface area, and it adds just a little more oil capacity running through the system.

I did it for my car just so it's easier to just dump 5 quarts in the crank case rather than measuring out 4.6qts. like the book says. I did it with the Fram (please, no flames) but then found it's equivilant with Wix. I do have to keep the old box for the Wix because if you just go to the counter and tell them what you have you'll get something completely different.
