Look What Canada Post Brought Me

Today I recieved the Random Technology Cat. Converter from Excelerate, great guy to deal with and best of all, no customs nor duty fees!

I also bought the O2 extension and the hardware kit.

Im just wondering how my exhaust will sound like when I get this thing installed. I removed my only mid muffler.

Im gonna get this installed when I go to my mechanic to get my winter tires swapped in.

I'll post back with a sound clip when that happens.

im not expecting any gains from this, I bought this because my cat is rattling, sounding like a tank whenever i accelerate. Between the RT cat and OEM cat, the RT cat is a more economical choice whereas the OEM cat can cost an arm and a leg.

Im gonna get it installed sometime this week. I will keep this thread updated.

The difference in sound on a S is minimal, though on a P there is much less catalyst, so maybe a bit more of a differnce. Unfortunately, mine got raspy after I removed the mid muffler.

You have a TL-P or TL-S?

Mine is a TL-S, Comptech headers, RT Cat, then subsequent midmuffler removal (not to include the ever famous "juice can" resonator which is still there) which unfortunately created a noticeable rasp between 2300-2900 rpm under any load and more if at good load/throttle during higher rpms (but less noticeable to me due to growling intake).

To whomever posted they don't see modified 2nd gen TL's in the GTA ... I don't know where you drive / live. I see quite a few of them (not every day, but often) on my commutes from North York <-> 'ssauga. And if I go to Pacific Mall or any area with a high density of Asians (Indian, Oriental, etc) ... it's almost a certainty.
