Llumar Tint Types

Could someone please list the Llumar tint types? I talked to a tint shop that said they would use Llumar charcoal on my car, but I am really looking for the Llumar type that has a slightly reflective quality to it. I believe it is the platinum type. Could someone clear this up? Thanks.

I had Llumar PT-35 on my last car. (Platinum/Titanium) It wasn't refelective, but definitely had a much better look than charcoal. Very black looking.

Llumar makes several types of tint. Platinum Plus is what i want, and it has a silverish mirror look to it. Llumar also has a line called ATR. I know that ATR is metallic like platinum plus, but I don't know what shade it is.

i think youre referring to the Llumar Titanium tint. it has a slight greenish mirror/reflective look to it but its not the full mirror tint. i have 28% on the front and 15% on the back and rear

Quick question.

The higher the number the darker or lighter the tint? eg; 15% is lighter or darker than 30%?

The percentage represents how much light is allowed to pass through. So a clear window allows 100% light to pass through. Therefore, the lower the percentage, the darker the tint. I believe limo tint is around 10-15%.

Limo is 5%. And regular glass won't let 100% of light in either I don't think.

Thanks for the correction about the limo tint. And yes, you're correct--all glass will inherently reflect, refract or absorb a portion of the light passing through it. I was trying to give comparative levels. Our windows are probably even further away from 100% as a result of the green tint used to block UV rays. I'll test the factory non-tinted glass with a tint meter and post the percentage here tomorrow.

I've seen some really grey looking tint, so IMO, black is different from charcoal. (if you were to look at a color chart, Charcoal is definitely not black) plus, charcoal usually has no metals in the film.
but, a lot of ppl refer to the black tint as charcoal.

With a certified tint meter, my non-tinted factory windows measured 75%. My '97 Maxima SE's non-tinted windows measured 80%.

So apparently the UV-reflecting green tint that comes on our glass is more of a visible tint than I thought.
