Unhappy LLumar tint done...but bubbled??

Just got my car tined with Llumar PT28 all four doors and PT18 on the back. The tinter told me up front that it will "bubble" shortly because of the excess water but it will go away as it dried up in 2-3 weeks. Has anyone with LLumar (or other tints for that matter) bubbled on them after tinting? Also, is PT a good tint? I had an option of going Sungard Quantumn for a little more $$$ but I didn't want the silvery looks.

I've never had a problem with "excess water" because I squeegeed it away. Needless to say, no bubbles either. Maybe it's the tint

it should not bubble... tinter shouldve squigied all that out for a pretty tight fit.... maybe a very few tiny bubbles, but thats all... give it time I guess.

I had mine tinted using Llumar and the results seem pretty good so far. Right after it was tinted, there was some smudges or some wet look like glue but I was told that it's normal and would be gone soon.

with my experience, there were little bubbles and it has been 2 weeks and they are still there. i think im just gonna wait anothe week or 2 and if it's still there get it re-tinted.

I recently had my GSX tinted all around with 35% Llumar PT. There we bubbles, but just like the tinter said, they all went away. Just give it time. No worries.

Enjoy the beauty of your privacy.

I'm glad you said that...I was afraid my new baby is going to have pimples.

I have PT18 on the back. It looks kind of dark at night. Also, it kind of "glare". Does this happen to you guys? Does thing "glare thing goes away when it cured?? Please tell me so...

I have lumar tint. The tint guy used a blow torch to make sure the liquid dried faster and I didn't have bubbles.

My brother had lumar on his last car...it had bubbles but it did indeed go away after a few days just like the tint guy said it would.

Nevertheless, I hope the bubbles go away on your ride. Good luck.

I just had Llumar PP35 installed a little over two weeks ago. I have some very small bubbles in the area of the stop light in the back window. I'll be watching them to see if it goes away in time.

i got mine tinted with onyx 20 %, the corners have little bubbles, but the main thing is the two side windows have thousands of tiny stains that look like drops of water-marks. I used windex and stuff to clean the outside, but then the stains r still there, so my guess is that it's not from outside, probably the tinter didn't clean the inside windows enough b4 putting on the film. anyone else have this problem???

Are you sure that it is not acid rain marks that are etched in the outside of the glass? Look at your windshield and see if you see waterspots where the wipers don't hit, and them compare that to the side window

be careful using windex on the tint itself, it could fade your tint if you dont use the right kind, use the ammonia free kind, just a heads up

Okay, today, exactly 3 days after the tint...all bubbles on side windows went away except for the rear...I know it takes time but this is killing me.

How big are the bubbles? Can you see cloudy areas in the back window?

I guess it depends on who tints your car, and how much experiences they have with a particular tint film. The guys who tinted my car never say i have to wait for the bubbles.... and there weren't any bubbles either. The only thing i had to do was wait 3 days till the tint dries before i could roll down the windows. BTW, they used computer to cut the tint film for my windows. How was your done and how much did you end up paying for your tint?

Bubbles are about the size of your pen's top (not tip)..or 1/3 the size of your finger tip. About the "glare" or "haze", it is only visible at night and looks like of cloudy from headlights from other cars. I wish I had gone PT28 (35%) all around instead of 18 on the back now..

yeah, they used computer to cut the film but the installer messed up at first (putting the tint on BACKWARD)..so he peeled it off and sprayed some water or whatever that stuffs he used then reapply..probably that's why all the haze came in?

hey Rob's 01TL, the windshield does have those marks,
but then i tried to clean the "tinted" windows on the outside so many times now, but those marks r still there, if they are on the outside, they should come off,
in case it is from acid rain, how do i get rid of them, cux it's annoying looking at the windows and seeing the dots

not sure,
every car I have had has had waterspots etched in the glass if you look real close..
I wonder if anybody knows how to get rid of them??
Anyway, I am taking my car over to the tint place to get the installer to look at it tommorrow. It has been almost three weeks, and the back window has some imperfections in it.
