Talking listen to this

ok i'm attending Penn State New Kensington in PA for my first 2 years of my BSME, well anyway, i'm commuting and i live in butler about 50 miles away. well my 2000 TL is leased, and i have 29,500 miles on it now, i'm about 1500 miles over currently. I go to school starting next tuesday, and i go every day. so thats 100 miles every day, 500 miles a week, 2000 miles a month (i'm supposed to have 1000). So, if i drive straight to school and straight back, no where else, at the end of my lease (april) i will have 48,000 miles when i'm supposed to have 36,000 (plus, the 1500 i'm already over). But you and me both know that i'll be driving it more than that, i love to drive too much. yeah so my real question is, whats the going rate for mileage these days? 12 cents? i dunno, i'm screwed, i was thinking about buying a beater, like an older integra or civic hatch.. what do u guys think?

It says it on your contract, I believe most leases are .15 cents a mile. So if your 10,000 miles over its $1500, that sux.

for 1500, you might as well get a beater car.

screw buying a beater... disconnect your speedometer/odometer. The disadvantage is you won't know your exact speed or exact mileage BUT... when your lease is up, reconnect it and save yourself some major dough around $2000 worth of DOUGH... and maybe use that money to buy a beater

I seriously hope you're kidding. I guess you figure court costs and jail time for odometer fraud are less than paying for excess mileage.

I definately would not risk it in this day and age. I'm sure there is a way to tell if you've tampered with it. I mean if the car is in perfect shape they wont look into it but why take the chance.
