I noticed tonight when I started up my car and had my lights on... they went completely out before it would start up. Would this mean my battery's getting weak or something else going on?

Also when I start it up (without the lights on), it doesn't start easily.

 

if you have the original battery in the car then it's most likely time to change it. the battery in my 2002 went last month and i don't think it was quite 5 years old. the easiest thing to do is to drive to autozone and ask them to load test your battery to see how good it is. it's free.

I went to go do the load test... after it, my car wouldn't start up... so I ended up buying a new battery right there... At least I was at Advanced Auto when it crapped out.

 

ouch, sorry dude. so definitely the battery. at least you didn't end up stranded on the road somewhere.
