lighting issuse

is it possible to run 8000k headlights on your stock set up without any issues

What year you have, i think it should run fine. Just replace the bulb.

Yes but the question is WHY?? You loose usable light. Stock is the brightest.

you could run 12000k if u wanted, why, idk. lot of us like the 5000k and the 6000k

the reason i aked is that i installed some 8000k headlights and my headlights turn off and then i have to turn them off then onn again and the lights go out at random times

yeah my roommate has 8000k hid low beams on his wrx, it's all for show, when you have them on, it says "LOOK AT ME BITCHES, and be blinded!!!"

I have 6000k and i couldn't see shit today driving on a dark street in the rain... i need to get 3000k fogs :/

i have no problems with my 6000k hids driving in teh dark, raining, or both. u have to get used to them.

Color temp. should not cause that- maybe ballasts are failing.

I have 8k drop in's and they are perfectly fine for night driving. They light up the road perfectly and aren't too bright. I also have them combined with 3k fog lights.


It is a pretty good setup in my opinion. I bought a few extra sets to sell on ebay w00 w00!

You can see that it is also reflecting off the street sign way down there. On the highway the signs about a mile ahead of me are lit up. I love them.

when my headlights are working i could hardly see anything in the rain also i have to use my highbeams beacause they are yellow

6 and 8K will light up signs and reflective surfaces better, BUT its proven that 4300 offers more usable light. I have 6k and i can tell the difference. I will be going back to 4300 to 5k.
Those that venture out of city areas where there are no street lights will benefit from the stock K
